What it's all about ...
The Great British Greyhound Walk is a project of Greyhound Walks, a group of greyhound and lurcher owners who walk most weekends in Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Hertfordshire.
The idea is that on Sunday 24 June 2012 we have as many greyhounds and lurchers walking together all over the country, bringing owners together regardless of where their hound has been homed from, to celebrate greyhounds, to raise awareness of greyhounds and to promote greyhounds as pets in a BIG way.
In 2010 and 2011 lots of groups not only held a walk but they held a social event or promotion event as well and made a real day of it. Some did awareness stands, others picnics, the brave did BBQ's and others just stopped for a chat and cuppa.
But everyone, whether they were in Scotland, Sussex, Cornwall or Crosby felt part of a very big, and proud family.

We need you to register! - whether you want to do a 'Little Local Walk' for just you and a few greyhound chums, or a bigger 'as many as you can get to come' walk do get in touch so we can put you on the map and count you in on the day ... email gbgw@greyhoundwalks.org.uk
